An Analog Switch IC is an integrated circuit that functions like an electronically controlled relay—it connects or disconnects analog signals (voltage or current) under the control of a digital logic signal.
An analog switch acts like a solid-state SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) switch:
When enabled (logic HIGH): it conducts the analog signal between terminals.
When disabled (logic LOW): it isolates the terminals (high impedance).
It can pass AC or DC signals, including audio, video, sensor signals, or analog voltage rails.
